Dear All,
It's been a long break, and finally back on the road. Just wanted to report what happened. In January 2011 the 2nd spark plug popped out during an easy, but rainy, rally. My friend mechanic didn't fix the far until August 2018. Then I drove the car back over 300 miles, got introduced a local mechanic who found one of intake valves was bent so fixed. Then the car experienced almost stopping on the road due to a loose contact at the coil, a clogged jet, and fatigue throttle cable. With help from Anders and Roy, I managed to fix those as well as some more improvements. The car was nice and stable, so I proceeded to replace tires and shocks.
Here's one concern. The front shock is exposing its shaft when the car is on the ground. Is this a bit scary, don't you think? The new shocks were from SIMON, the correct model number. I temporarily wrap with a tin foil to guard the exposed shaft. Any thoughts and advices?
(I reposted this as the first try was too big photos).
