Rancho feature

Don't know if anybody else has had this email...

Matra Rancho in the Classic News.....

The UK newspaper "Classic Cars Weekly" tomorrow ((11th January 2007) carries a full page feature on the Matra Rancho.

The article was NOT written with the assistance of the UK club as, I was told, "the editor is a great fan of the Rancho".

I'm sure our Rancho experts will decide how good and accurate the article is. I will wait and see!

There is also a 1/4 page  advertisement for the Club featuring the Rancho but mentioning also the other Matra "people carriers" Espace and Avantime plus the sports models (Djet, M530, Bagheera and Murena).

The advert gives phone and email details for Clive Nelson as the Rancho technical specialist and Greig Dalgliesh as the Membership secretary.

The advert was supposed to be adjacent to the Rancho feature but they have placed it adjacent to a 2 page feature on the Range Rover! I can't make up my mind whether this is a good thing or not! Comments?

My name appears (I am surprised to see) in the main feature as the club contact. If or when I get any calls I will pass the caller onto the right person!

I'd appreciate any feedback you may have either from yourself or from the public as this is the first time that we have had paid advertising in a classic car publication for a very long time.

Classic Cars Weekly migth be difficult to find in Denmark but I will check some major newspaper shops.
