Hi Jacob,

The one you are working on is DTH531 then.
I thought it was the -75 because it had the steel side panels in the luggage compartment.
My -74 is open all the way out to the fibreglass.

My -74 passed its test in august and I got a few hundred km. in it before the winter (or rain period) started.

Here are some pics from an event I attended: http://www.jec-sweden.se/images/Sportvagnstraffen/album/index.html

Regards.

Stig

DTH531  MATRA BAGHEERA PB  1974 SVART
PAB158  SIMCA MATRA PB  1974 RÖD

I only have the orignalpapers and manuals for the PAB158 - the one on the pictures.
The DTH531 is my upcomming V12 project.

Concerning the steelpanels in the trunk. it's car to car, how rusty they have been thru the years maybe? Because my DTH531 (Black) hasn't the steel side planels. And this Red PAB158 has.

The bagh is an shape of it's own. So beautiful Smiley

Hi Jacob,

According to the registry:

DTH531   chassies number: X35504X110886 which is a 1974 X335504nnnnn
PAB158   chassies number: X35505X113245 which is a 1975 X335505nnnnn

I think the side plates came on the 75.

Regards,

Stig

Jacob,

If the engine will be a peugeot one and if the shape will only be approximative, not the same lenght, why do you speak of U8 replica ?

Only for the rear lights ?

Won't you prefer to do a real replica then ?
If yes, I can provide the details. Pictures or the rear tubular frame, details on the engines to match, front axes, brakes , the gearbox ...

Hi Spyros,

I at least would be very interested in seeing the U8 documentation you have.
The engine is I guess the most difficult part of the project.

I would have been thinking this being impossible and very difficult until being so deep into my current engine project. But I might have found some of my missing parts, I'll know tomorrow.  My doc is hidden somewhere in my attic so I will need some time to get to it

Ok ! My "u8-replica" is only a body-replica. I will not have an v8 legally installed and approved by the SBP ("swedish survey highway authority") There for i will go on a xu10 converted to turbo. And thats possible to get approved by SBP in sweden.

What is the project "andy" have?

I must check my old e-mails. It seems that Spyros and I remember it differently.

My recollection is that Andy is planning a turbo charged version of the standard engine.
Spyros thinks that it was a compressor he planned to use.

Checked my mail and Spyros is correct.

Andy is planning to use a Shorrock supercharger on a 1.6 emgine in his blower bag project.

Andy is on the Matra Enthusiast Club UK mailinglist.
You can sign up at the bottom of this page http://www.matraclub.org.uk/links.html

Very infrequent used mailing list and mostly Murena related.

No , the engine on my black X is a tuned 1.6 (m Lips Sealed na ) engine.
Outside exactly as the original but 1590, MaxiRoute Camshaft, flowed head, DCNF40 carbs ... and mated to the AT gearbox. Usual development road.
That one will find his way on another chassis I have. If and when I finished it... Plenty of details to solve still  Roll Eyes
I'm today very happy because I might have found the ideal cam belt.
Did you realize that there are something like 10 different teeth  profiles for cam belts ? + multiple width (need at least something similar as the pulley) + the length + the pitch ...
It's going to be exotic.
