Hi Zac I think Roy is your best bet, since he has that laminated and carefully reviewed diagram you can buy at a reasonable price. Simon has a diagram on the web site, but it's only covering the 1.6, which has a different ignition system. I thought about you yesterday by the way, Zac, when I spotted a Jensen in my rear view mirror (I was in the Murena). That's an extremely rare car here in Denmark. I know the look of the front from auto card games I had when I was a child - for some reason, the Jensen's were always pictured from front, like the Miura It looked quite original, still with the dealer sticker in the rear window. It had a "Mk III" badge on the rear. - Anders

I know this is an old thread but it seems silly to start a new one repeating old information, I have Roys wiring diagram but I don't have the key, the links to it (above) are no longer working. I pretty much know what i'm looking at now but would like it all the same, just to be on the safe side. Does anyone have an electronic copy that they can forward on to me?

I noticed that one of the bulbs have gone on the central column (clock/heater panel etc) and am going to replace them, I seem to remember possibly that someone told me these twist fit bulbs are only 6 volts (or maybe i'm confusing myself with the dash pressfit bulbs). I have some 12 volt bulbs and have tried replacing them with these, it certainly looks better with them in as its brighter, my only worry is heat, has anyone had them in for a sustained time and did it cause any damage?

Not 6 volts but 24 volt bulbs so that on a 12 volt system they run dimmer. These bulbs are easy enough to get if you remember that trucks use 24 volt systems, so you need to go to a truck parts department who will usually carry them on the shelf. Car motor factors mostly do not keep them, and as Peter said 12 volt bulbs are too bright as well as maybe getting too warm. Bulb number is 508T (T signifies including holder) As for the key to the wiring diagrams, if you cannot work out the items from their location and shape on the diagram (which closely follows the real car) the item identifying letters are the same as in the workshop manual, but if you don't have that either you could contact me, as I have the full list. My wiring diagrams were originally set up on a computer which is why they have that link top left - it brings up the diagram key! Roy

Thanks for all your input, the diagram is great and very easy to follow, I just wanted to make sure I knew which colours refered to to what in relation to fused, unfused, etc... over the last few days Ive made some real progress sorting my wiring out, having two cars really helps as the elecric on my second car is very original, i.e. has not had two alarms fitted, several stereos etc... On my best car the elecronic box that controls the wipers was zip tied between 2 wires over by the foot rest, i have now moved it back over to where it should be and as a result this plus other other wires follow a far better, less complicated route..
