I have recently got  a series 1 with the usual clutch/pedal problem, it is the manual adjustment type. The pedal has been welded up to reinforce it but the 'pull' of the cable does not align properly with the hole in the bulkhead ( I can fix this ). The problem is that the cable snapped due to this misalignment; I have replaced the cable quickly and easily.... BUT... the link between the bellcrank that is operated by the cable and the clutch fork fell out and was lost when the cable broke. I am using a short bar extension piece from a socket set that was lying around in my tool box at present.... but there must be a more elegant solution for the long term.

Can anyone give me details of the missing piece ?

The piece is just a short bar of metal held by a clip and a rubber ring. It's available as a spare, at least it was last time I needed one (3 years ago).
