I'm a llama!

« on: April 12, 2005, 09:47:36 am »

Hello, i'm from Portugal, and this is my first time in this forum.
Sorry for my bad english.
I have a 1991 Espace, 2.2 petrol, and need to buy some used spare parts. Can any body tell me if the front lights, and the front passenger seat belt(all structure), from a 1996 model, feets in the 1991 model?

Best regards
José

 Huh
Hi, Jose.

Due to Haynes service and repair manual, the headlight housing should be the same on phase lll models. Regarding the seatbelt, the front seatbelts on phase lll models from 1995 and up, are equiped with mechanical seatbelt tensioners, Haynes says " DO NOT attemp to remove front seat belts on vehicles so equipped". I think you should find a belt solution from a 1991-1994 model.

 Shocked
Bye the way, José.

Do you have acces to parts from a 1996 j63? - If so, would you find out if the clock/outdoortemperature display in the roof console is functioning, and for sale?? .

Brgds

Hi Jensen:
Thank you for your excellent help.Guess i'll have to buy a new front seat belt.
Regarding your question, i found in the net(eBay) one 1996 Espace for sale, with damaged engine. The car is in Spain, and i asked if the owner could sell some parts, and the answer was yes.
D'ont have anymore the net link, but here is the contact of the seller.
