Anyone who has changed the oil on a 2.2dCi will know that removing the oil filter housing cap can be a pain without the correct cup-type wrench. After previously using a strap wrench on it in the past I decided to get a proper tool.
Both Draper and Sealey in the UK have one listed for use on Renault's but it is 76mm with 12 flutes whereas the one for the 2.2dCi needs to be 96mm diameter with 18 flutes as the attached photo.
The Sealey part number, if anyone wants an addition to their toolbox, is VS7004-96.18
Sealey list this as only for Volkswagen Audi Group vehicles but it is definitely the correct item for the 2.2dCi.
Prices vary from £3.17 to over £8 plus postage so Googling the part number is worthwhile.
To drain the oil you also need an 8mm square drive to remove the sump plug. If having shelled out on the proper cup type oil filter wrench you don't want to buy a square drive as well then simply remove one of your house door handles
Those little square section bars that connect between the handles on either side of a door are 8mm (or at least they are in the UK).... and together with a 3/8" socket make the perfect tool for removing the sump plug
