Hello everyone this is my first post (and probably not the last either!!!).
I have a 2000 grand Espace 2.2 diesel RXE and I have noticed that the rear wheel bearing is starting to whine.
I have looked around but you have to buy the complete hub at a cost of approx £100.
so here goes, Has anyone been able to get out the old bearing and get it matched up or is this just too big a problem, if so, could you let me know please?

I guess its possible to change just the bearing, but you need to be able to heat the bearing enough before using a hydraulic press to get it off.
Then you'll have to find a bearing that fits...
I know this has been done on other cars, using standard industrial bearings, but seems like a lot of work and hazzle to me.

i know this is an old tread but just for the record.
I have replaced 3 rear wheel bearings during my 100.000 km ownership.
I can tell that it's impossible to replace only the bearing. I triede ot put the hub in an hydralic press and realized that there si no way you can press out the bearing whitout damaging the hub. The prices for the hub and bearing are fair if you search on E-bay.de (It cost less than a third of the Danish Renaukt dealer price)
