Hey, I'm looking for pictures of Bagheera U8. The interior of the engine as the outside. Preferably rear design (it would be with benifit from the side of the car).

And what distinguishes a U8 against an ordinary bagheera type 1?

What I am curious over except it is also track and height / width.

Are exact dimensions a concern ?

If yes, they can be provided. Otherwhise, this picture http://www.matra-bagheera.com/Plan/Models/U8/u8.html will help you.

As you'll see, the rear windscreen and side windows were kept with the same dimensions.
Since the rear wheels were put some 20 cm behind, the boot is displaying this longer panel and you will have to cut and extent several pannels, incorporate these vents on the side.
Also the wings are extended. Better there to start with the 1976 serie 1 (already extended wings but not enough. )

No, it is not as important with exact dimensions.

Aha, so it isn't a more diffrence than that?
I have come so far in my building that I can make the most of the body and shell right now.

So there is nothing that is extended in front of the rear wheel?

And concerning the pictures, wondrering if there are any pictures that isn't published on internet. That maybe if somebody visited the museum in romarantin and had taken som pictures of it?

I'll try to have someone sending pictures of the underside to you. The complete rear end was cut and it was an assembly of square tubes ...

Lennart,

Since these pictures don't belongs to me, I'll have to talk with the owner.
I know that you use to advertise your sources and this will help a lot.

Sharing sources on internet has become difficult in the french Matra communauty.
The reason is simple : abuse;

Let me give some personal exemples.
1) I have a web site ( http://www.matra-bagheera.com ) online on various forms and under different urls since 1998 (You were the pioneer  Wink
One day, I had to realized that somebody registered nearly the same url and used 90 % of pictures and texts coming from my web site. Even some private pictures displaying my house in the background.
....  Angry

2) Another very well known Murena boy who likes to promote himself as a specialist and generate websites, articles and stamp his name. ( a web tagger  Cheesy )
Well one day, being rerouted by accident on one of his productions ... I realize that he was displaying 2 pictures copied from me : a unique Matra 530 : The Diebold coupé. Since I was allowed to scan the originals with the expressed notice to allways mention the owner of the car, I asked him to remove them.
He angrily refused it with the "excuse" that he had copied and published the pictures 2 years before.µ
The same wrong character had already issues with http://matrasportwebclub.free.fr/ , http://www.amicale-matra530.com/ , ...

It isn't without reasons that most of the French spoken forums are nearly locked down.
But of course you know all this  Smiley

This is a genuine issue, - however with the speed of new media being distributed on the Internet, people relaly should look other places than simple photos.

what a sad guy. He obviously has no life.

but the key must still be to be ahead of the copiers, - I do get slightly annoyed when I discover sites using not just my pictures, but also a number of the drawings I have made up using long evenings, - but hey!, my main focus is to spread the word about Matra - and if people are interested enough to copy the whole thing without asking, then thats actually "sort of" ok.   It won't give then a billion hits on their banner-ads anyway Smiley

Now thats really bad, as you have genuine reasons for having the picture taken down.
Shame on him.

yeah, it has been going on for years, - and I have tried to keep credits where credits are due, - but even I have pictures of dodgey origin. Most of my original stuff has been removed and replaced over the years though, - but I really feel strongly about putting credits/sources on pictuires, so we enthusiasts can learn where to go for more.

Entente Cordiale! :-)
