Most likely the arm. The drivers seat is fastened from the underside of the car with four nuts. Remove those to take the entire seat and sliding assembly out. You can then remove the assembly and repair it. I haven't done it myself, but I don't think it's that much trouble. And I should do it soon, as my seat can't always lock in position. Wink

I have had the drivers seat out of my car lots of times... Its 4 bolts at the base of the seat.. its really dead simple...

The seat it self is also incredible simple, so it shouldnt pose to much difficulty.

Anders: My seat is bolted from the inside.. not from underneath.

You are right... it's the passenger seats that have the nuts under the car now that I think about it...  Shocked

....And as for the passenger seat..., its only necessary to undo the two bolts securing the headrest... then the seat can be slid backwards and pulled out... its not bolted in the front, but simply fastened by two metal rods that is stuck into plastic tubes in the floor.

Sorry Anders Smiley... but I had it out a couple of times when I did the wires for my Throttle bodies .. witch, by the way.... has just become "operational"...
149hp at 6160rpm on 95 unleaded....... and after the debris was cleared from the EFI  pump.. its very quiet, and certainly not loud enough to be heard when the engine is running Cool
