Espace 3.0 RXE no spark
«

Hi all,
My Espace has not been started for over 6 months.
I would like to get it running again and have replaced the battery but it doesn't start.
I have checked and there is no spark.
What are the obvious things to check on this model?
Thanks
Anthony

How did you check for the spark, remove the coil pack & insert the plugs earthing to the head? You need to check if the coil pack is getting its power & feed from the ecu to make it spark. Need to do some research for connector wiring for test points. It is easy to say the crank sensor is a prime target but that is pulling ideas out of the air. If you had a clip you could see live data & pinpiont it quickly. May be worth getting someone in to do a diagnostic! I have two v6's here, when i have time I will meter the coil pack connections.

Thanks Brian.
I checked the spark with a spare plug. There is so little space to find anything I think I'll get someone in to look at it.
Cheers

Just make sure, if your car has the inertia switch, that it is not triggered.

It is fixed now. It was the crankshaft sensor
Seeing as it hasn't moved in a while I'm very pleased it passed the MOT without an issue.
