Hi
I have noticed that my rear brake pads rattle while driving my Bagheera.
The anti-rattle clips are missing on the rear brakes, and I am not sure which type I need, but I got some clues in a Murean thread from 2009, by Oetker.
I have attached a copy of a picture from the Murena thread, and a couple of pictures from parts found on auto-doc.
Can any of you verify which type of clips are the correct for the rear brakes on a Bagheera? The small ones seen on the picture of the Murena rear brakes, or the other ones? Or do I need some third type of anti-rattle clips?
Best regards Frederik
Frederik, (and other Baheera owners), those anti-rattle clips shown in your last photo, Anti-rattle Clips 2.png, which are copper wavy strips, are not for the Bagheera (or Murena). They are used by certain Renault cars which use similar calipers. They do not fit the Matra cars.
The clips in your photo Anti-rattle Clips 1.png where they have been high lighted in red, are the correct type except they are the copy ones which are slightly too big and don't fit quite as well as the original ones did! Unfortunately the incorrect copies seem to be the only ones available now. I have some of the correct original ones left (bought long ago purely for myself and my cars) and I will photograph the two side by side later, so you can see the difference.
In your first photo: showing some anti-rattle clips in a Murena rear caliper, it actually has both type clips fitted. (and something in white - which I have no idea what that is but it definitely should not be there) I can see part of the wavy clip in the photo! That should definitely not be there.
I will take some photos of the correct set up, as soon as I get the chance and add them here.
