Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009

Well, another year, another Festival of Speed at Goodwood. And what a cracker it was; great weather, awesome cars and superb burgers.
I have some  Matra-related pics which I have attached.

Apologies for the gratuitous shot of the Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang. The car was just so overwhelmingly beautiful I have to share it with you.

Thanks for the pictures, - I was sorry not to be able to go there (was oncall at work) - it is such a nice event.

Don't worry about the Bugatti, it *is* nice in polished aluminium, even if it lacks the elegant design of our Matra's

The European editor of the Californian based Vintage Racecar magazine (http://vintageracecar.com/)  Ed McDonough, has kindly sent me pictures from Goodwood 2009, with permission to post them on the Matrasport galleries.

He was the lucky guy who got to DRIVE the Abba Kogan owned M670 #05 up the hill - and is in the process of writing a book on Matra (!) where his record of that experience will be included.

The Matra book will be in the Veloce publishing World sports Car giants series:  "Matra : 1966-1974"
(edit 20090816: Ed thinks the book will be out in February 2010)
