The photographer doesn't recognize the car.
According to https://www.rdw.nl/Ovi/Paginas/Default.aspx, the car with license plate DY-39-TX has the following information:
MATRA SIMCA BAGHEERA JUBILEE, registred 01-06-1979, same owner since 01-05-2002, MoT due 13-09-2007

Very sad, seeing a good Bagheera ending this way... I don't know the owner (a friend sent me the URL), but by the looks of it, it is a very well preserved car. Until it caught fire, that is.

I think so.
Doordat de benzinetank scheurde had de brandweer enige moeite met blussen. => Because the fuel tank ruptured, the firefighters had some trouble putting out the fire.

Shame to lose such a nice looking Bagheera - and there are not that many left.

So remember to have a fire extinguisher in your Matra!!
You are after all driving a plastic car with a plastic fuel tank that is placed next to the engine.
