New wheels?!!? - But do they fit?

Hi to all!

My garage has found a set of 17" Borbet CA alloy whells with Goodyear Efficent XL 225/55-17" tires on.
They will sell them to  my  for just 600 Eur (Around 4.500 Dkr), because they don't know if it will fit 100%
Everything brand new! (Never been installed, but 1 year old tire (Week 34 of 2009)

Will they fit my Grand Espace 3.0 V6 JE from 1999?

Can anyone help me?

I'v done some calculating, and they SHOULD be able to fit. - Offcause they are larger than normal, but i am corrently running on 225/60-16" and it is just fine!
Even the speedo fits :-)

the overall diameter of the 2 sizes you mentioned are the same, and borbets webcatalog says they'll fit so I guess if the offset of the wheel is correct then they should have the same fit as what you currently use.

maybe you can get the garage to give you some kind of garantee so that if the tyres contact the body or wheel arches you can return them. Also if you are going to get them balanced before fitting then I'd reccomend that you personally watch each wheel on the balancing machine to verify that each wheel and tyre is round without any runout.
