Glow plugs ?

Hi all, need to change my glow plugs  , there are several makes available, are the cheaper ones worth the saving or should I use Bosch ones ? Thanks, Bill.

I had the glow plugs changed before last winter on our 1998 dT. The glow plugs are on that model placed at the back of the engine and therefore they are difficult to access. Labour cost will be much more than the plugs themselves, so I went for the genuine Bosch item.

Hi Hans, mine are at the front , but a bit tricky to get at as the manifold is in the way. My local garage quoted £88.00 for the plugs and 1 hour labour to fit all 4. I can get 4 Bosch plugs for £40.00, so I think I will have a go and hope the are not siezed !
