Earlier this year I posted a photo of an S2 Bagheera on the Lombard RAC Rally, car #79.
Today I received a November 17th 1977 copy of the Birmingham Post special supplement on the 1977 Lombard RAC with a full list of entrants. S2 Bagheera #161 is crewed by Roland Therond (entrant) and Francis Chopy. So my picture is probably of the 1978 entry assuming the 1976 entry was a S1 Bagheera.
Interestingly, in the 1977 RAC the previous car #160, was a Chrysler (Talbot) Avenger entered by Stag Hill Motors from Guildford. They were a leading Simca/Talbot dealer and are known to have converted several S2 Bagheeras to RHD. I wonder if they provided support for the French Bagheera as well as their own car?
