Bagheera Wheels

There's a guy I've been exchanging emails with who has a partially stripped Bagheera to dispose of.

Unfortunately, among the bits removed, and now unavailable, are the wheels, which makes recovering the car somewhat challenging.

Are there any readily available wheels that will fit ? The requirement is for something cheap that can be used to move the chassis, not necessarily to drive around with. Actually the car is well past returning to the road, but you know what I mean.

That's a very generous offer. I live in the Midlands, between Coventry & Leicester. Near Mallory Park actually, so not really on your doorstep.

Right now, I'm not sure how long I would want them for, but it wouldn't be a day or two, more like 2 or 3 months, so maybe better I find some to buy. I have no idea how likely that is though.

I have a set of four Alpha Romeo wheels, without tyres, you would be welcome to have. How about £10 each (the price I paid for the wheels I have just started to use on Baggy Joe? P&P might not be cheap though.

The hub bolts are important as they (Bagheera/Murena and Alpha) are at 98mm pitch. Many cars are 102mm (I think)

Northern Tool and Equipment do 98pcd steel wheels I think for trailers.

Cheap tyres from the scrappy would get you mobile.

I forgot !

You could try the Simca Club. There are several Simca specialists in your patch e.g. Dick Husband near Coventry. I bought several spare wheels a while ago.

Just because of the geography, let me see what's available around here in one of the (few remaining) breakers yards. Thanks to you, at least I know what I'm looking for.

Most 4 stud Alfas and Fiats use 98mm pcd (stud pattern) so will fit as long as the offset is not too far out. I currently have my murena sitting on Punto Mk1 space saver wheels and two Talbot Horizon alloys!

A lot of wheel dealers sell aftermarket alloys for Fiat / Lancia / Alfa in a 4x100 stud pattern (even thought the cars are 4x98), so they must be supplying them with 'wobble bolts'.

If you have difficultly finding anything in 4x98, you could acquire a set of wobble bolts and pick up a set of 4x100 steels which are much more commonly used.
