There is a metal brace behind the front wheel arch. Does it have any purpose? Or just support the glass-fibre body?

The piece that has corroded off the bracket drops down and supports the lower lip on the front wing, if you look you should see one or two corroded rivets below the bracket.

Disregard the last message, looking again you still have that part, the bit that is missing just goes behind the wing adding a small amount of support but there are no other fixing points.

Thanks.

Yes, there were two rivets, but I was not sure why the brace is extended over the fixing points.
I wanted someone to affirm my suggestion.
