I have just recieved some new pictures from Liaz, so you can enjoy the now fully finished car:

I have also received a timetable of this weekends "GPlive" event, a list of attending drivers, and a PDF map of Donington Race Circuit.(see below)

Wonderful! I would really like to be there. Was it really run by Pescarolo:

1982 Talbot Matra Murena 2.2 prep 142 (under restoration)

Used to own:
2001 Renault Matra Grand Espace "The Race" V6 24v
1997 Renault Matra Espace 2.0 8V

- Liaz just told me ( minutes ago) that they have encountered a problem with the MS11 engine, and for now it doesn't run. This puts the trip up there in jeopardy !

Oh yes.
- in fact all the Matra V12 powered F1 cars were driven by French drivers, - in the first years it was Beltoise and Pescarolo (while Stewart and Servoz-Gavin were running DFV engined cars), and from 1971 it was Chris Amon  and Beltoise.

At most races, there were only two Matra's, however occasionally there were in fact all four of them (two races in 1968 and one in 1969). Rules were somewhat different then, before Bernie took over the show.
