I'm looking for a new steering black steering wheel for my Murena.

The foam on mine is very rotten as the car had done over 250k. I am considering getting it leather wrapped, which will be a way of reusing the original but this is expensive and costs about the same as a new wheel from Simon.

If anyone has one spare, I am open to offers to buy or trade parts. Difficult for some of our European friends perhaps  but if have a lot of body panels for the front of the Murena- bonnet, wings, bumper, lights etc for swap perhaps.

Also if anyone knows of a cheaper place to buy one or have it wrapped?

Hi Tim,

Yes I have a nice used black steering wheel spare.

Do you have any good condition bumper rubber trim front and rear for a trade? (Front is slightly longer than the rear)

Cheers,

Graham

Hi Graham
I'll have a look but I know I just have the front rubber from my spare bumper. I'll check the condition and let you know. Cheers

The steering wheel is on it's way. Followed by the centre boss to the Isle of Lewis.

Job done!

Hey there,

does anyone know of any way I can protect my wheel from further damage?

the condition's not too bad, but its getting a bit sandpapery.

really want to preserve its originality as much as possible

cheers

Never tried anything on the steering wheel myself but this Autoglym Product might be worth a try?
You can still use it on the other rubber trim so it won't be a complete waste of money and at least your hands will smell nice!

Does anyone have a brown steering wheel they want to part with?  Huh
If it is in good condition, that is the vinyl is intact with no cracks, then send me a PM and let me know what you want for it or if there is a part you are looking for.

In an old tread you can see how I fixed my old steering wheel.

Hans, I was going to do that with mine, if I had not been able to source a good replacement. Trouble was, the cheapest quote I could get was £180!!!

Hans
I have thought about the leather refinish, but not found a place that will do it.
Did you use the eBay.de shop? I see that the offer has ended.
Wonder if they still do it. Do you know anyone else that can do the job?
