Hi there,

Of course you all have heard of the Wikipedia project (if not, I wonder where you have been on the Internet the past years Wink )
I've been quite active writing Matra-related articles on several wiki's, especially on the Dutch language version but also on the English language version. There are, however, a lot of wiki's who have incomplete or lack information about Matra, so I'm asking for your help. This is a list of Matra articles I have seen so far. Please feel free to read them and edit when necessary, you don't have to create an account for that, just click Edit (or whatever it's called in your local language version!) and change or add what you find appropriate! Or start working on a new article, but take care to learn something about wikis first (it isn't hard, but takes a little practice)

Danish language:
NO articles on Matra! http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formel_1#Konstruktør-VM is the only reference, on Matra F1 in 1969.

Dutch language:
* http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra (automerk)
* http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Murena
* Work in progress: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gebruiker:Brinkie/Matra_Bagheera
* http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_MS80

English language:
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Murena
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Bagheera
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_530
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Jet
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Rancho

French language:
* http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra (aéronautique)
* http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Murena
* http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra-Simca_Bagheera
* http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_530
* http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Djet
* http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra-Simca_Rancho
* http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Simca (Very confusing: this is about Matra Formula 1!)

German language:
* http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra
* http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talbot_Matra_Murena
* http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talbot_Matra_Bagheera
* http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_530
* http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Djet
* http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talbot_Matra_Rancho

There are also wikis with Matra-related articles in Swedish, Italian, Spanish, Rumanian, Slovenian, Finnish (and I'm sure there are a couple more) language. Please check them if you speak that language.

Of course, there are in several languages articles about the Renault Espace and Renault Avantime, if you want to check the more recent Matra history.

Thanks a lot for your help in giving Matra a place on the world's fastest growing encyclopedia Smiley If you need assistance in writing an article or editing, I'm always willing to help.

That's an excellent idea  Cheesy

Any guidelines as to what we should write about? E.g. a kind of template for the contents.

Bagheera article could probably use some info on the differences between the two series.
The Murena article is missing the story about the V12 powered Murena.

I'm going to update the specifications of the Murena against the official workshop manual, so much for the facts. I'll also add a link to the Murena registry Wink

Cheers,

I always take an existing article and copy the layout into a new one (click on Edit to view the source). It is quite easy, once you got the hang of it Wink

There are some guidelines, which funny enough differ somewhat between the wiki's. E.g. on the Dutch language version, adding too many external links is not very much appreciated, whereas the English speaking version sometimes looks like a search page.

Helpful people are around at all wiki's. Just go to Help section or ask a question at the Helpdesk section (or whatever it's called in your local language).

Good luck!
