Found this here in Norway today
Looks nice. un-original wheels - are the ortiginal available ? noisy (Devil?) exhaust. Do I need to mention Trailing arms ? Check if you like the interior - it says its grey, which should make the dash black. Price seems reasonable ?? - how much tax do you normally pay on cars compared to Denmark ? if you buy it, you'll soon find the RED DEVIL MAFIA here on the forum /Lennart

Razorback, What we're talking about is not the registration fee, but the import tax. Before a new car can get it's license plates here in Denmark, there's a tax of about 160% on top of the manufacturers price that has to be paid.
That means that cars are roughly twice or three times as expensive as the rest of Europe, and that applies to used cars too of course (market mechanisms).
When importing a used car to Denmark, you have to pay a similar tax - not the full 160% of the manufacturers price when the car was new, but a tax that is determined on the basis of the cars' estimated value at the time of import. Similarly, you can get some of the tax back when you export a car to another country.
The cost of getting license plates for a car in Denmark is about 1500 DKK, i.e. some 200 EUR, but that's more of a fee, and not much worse than some other countries in Europe.
I think you have a similar car tax system in Norway, and I know that the tax rate is somewhat lower than the Danish rate. Netherlands have a similar system too, and their rate is even lower yet.
