i have removed the standard tin trim , cleaned all the old double sided tape off and put 2 pieces of thin tape and put  it place. it a very good fit , it will not come off by its self. and its much better then the tin one.
ps i didnt use a hammer!!!  i did it at work on a cnc mill

Any chance of making me one in plain black? Or in aluminium and I can re-paint it.

Happy to pay for your time and materials as long as it was reasonable....
