Hello, just found out theres an 8-12 week wait for a new radiator 

just wondered if any of you guys knew how I might get hold of one sooner, preferably within about a month?

price appears to be 288 plus shipping so if anyone knows of a cheaper way then suggestions will be greatly appreciated

I have had no luck getting a new radiator. But on advice from others on the forum what you will have better luck with, is taking the old one to a radiator shop an have a new core fitted. You can probably get a more modern and efficient core.
Have not done it myself yet, but it will happen before I start up with the newly repaired head. Will also switch to water less coolant.

yeah tried that, but the guy said he had no joy  

as long as i can get one in about 3 months then i suppose thats the main thing,

Are you suggesting just using the core?  Reason for asking is that I thought that it had to be a non-diesel/ non-gti visa/C15 radiator to fit the murena.

Does it matter if it's radiator for diesel or petrol only it has the right dimensions and connections?

I saw this radiator on ebay and contacted the seller to get the dimensions.
Anyone know if the dimensions match the dimensions of the Murena radiator?

It would matter if they were not the same and therefore didn't fit.  Have a look at this post:

If your radiator is the original type with the metal, rather than plastic tanks on the ends, then it is far easier to get it recored.  Any competent radiator specialist will be able to do it for you in a few days.  I had mine done a couple of years ago by my local specialist, Sheldrake & Wells of Ipswich, it cost £150 + VAT and they made an excellent job of it.  The all-metal radiators are valuable, so don't discard yours.

It looks like it fits the 1.1 and 1.3 petrol version, but it seems that it differs little from Visa radiator in the link you posted lewisman.

That is a very good bit of info as I have an old metal radiator I was just about to discard. I think it will be winging it's way to Ipswich shortly and going straight back in my car.
