not sure what went wrong, but I think the database ran out of memory while I moved the post - and now it has lost its representation.
It IS in fact still in the database, but apparently the references have disappeared.

Very odd because I have seen it work... first time I tried and it redirected all right to the thread. But then a day later or so, I clicked the link - and it didn't work.

Should we try again, there might be a pattern (the software tester has just come to work )
