Bolt thread size for manifold

Hi there, ifve had a Murena which sound abit like a VW campervan of late and have found out the problem. It would seem that I am missing one of the bolts that hold the manifold to the engine, I had this problem a while ago and the garage seemed to have sortted it but now its back? whats more of a worry it the stud is VERY short and im not even sure if its now too short to get a bolt on it! OH NO! My thoughts of this could be that this is not good and no dout expensive. Is there a way to fix this without an engine out situ...

As far as I understand your problem, all you need is a few new studs and nuts. The studs are just small rods with threads either end. If the thread in the cylinder head is worn, you may need to drill it out to a larger diameter and fit a non standard stud and nut, but as far as I can think, even that should be possible without taking the engine out.
