Both Bagheeras that I owned had large fabric sunroofs which were almost as good as a targa top.  I have a dreadful, leaky glass sunroof on my murena which is pretty useless.

Has anyone fitted a fabric type sunroof to a murena?

A removable roof panel along the lines of an X-19 would also be worth considering...

I know that there was a "convertible" conversion around but that was a step too far for me!

Yes the factory did!  A Webasto sunroof was an option on the Murena.  There used to be two at least in the U.K.  A silver car,  A382TNS was one of them.

If you have the Murena parts fiche or a parts book you will see all the parts listed.

Cheers for that Roy.

Unfortunately, although I have a parts fiche for the Bagheera and the Rancho (anyone need them?) I do not have one for a murena.

Do Webasto still exist?

Okay.  Just Googled "Webasto" to discover that Wabasto still exist and they even have an agent in Inverness.  It will be interesting to find out if they list a sunroof for a murena......

New exhaust "straight through" - good sound!

I recently spoke to a man in Kent who specialises in restoring sunroofs. I think he said he used to work for Webasto before they closed.

I have not had mine done due to lack of time but I can find the number if you are interested. The price to refurbish an old one was around £400 as far as I recall.

That would work if I had an old one that fitted.  Mind you I might have a Bagheera one somewhere!  Not sure if it would be of any use as the Baggy had a different shaped roof.

I've found this somewhere on internet and saved it into my PC months/years (?) ago:

My present project car is an S2  Bagheera which had a factory sun roof. We took my temporary aluminium roof off today and I could easily measure the aperture required. Photo if you like too.

Thanks for the offer Andy.

I have a Bagheera roof lodged in the rafters of my father-in-law's barn.  It had a sunroof attached but I have no idea what condition it is in as it has been there since 1990 or so!

I am considering fitting one of these, they are available in sizes 780 x 450 and 820 x 505.

What size is the roof on your car?

As far as I am informed, the Bagheera roof is to long for the Murena.
I puted in a Webasto glassroof, because the boardplate in the roof was misformed so I had to push it up with my head all the time.
Will not be anybody's choice for a sunroof, but my head is clear from the roof now, and keep it cool.

The glass can be removed easely

I don't have the car at hand here, but I have the plate I cutted out.
The size of that is 76x39 cm.
The frame outside of the roof is only 1.5 cmm bigger then the hole.
The glass roof is the Webasto Sky top 101.

The widthe of 39 is almost as much as possible, as you can see in the pics.
If you make it much wider it gets a bit difficult to make it fit inside at the boardplate.
