The T-Hansen kit is for replacement of the "manual" handle only.
The kit can not be used for repair og the original electric window system.

Does anyone have any news on this front? I'm interested to see if anyone has tried non original mechanisms as a fix?

At the Belgium club a member managed to get a front Ford Escort type VI in.
It had to be shortened and some things needed to be changed for the door opening, but is working.
Not a easy job I think, but maybe a option.

Hi All,

It seems to be possible to mount a 406 electric windows system (bottom of page):

http://www.crazyauto.net/index.php?showtopic=4259

but no details of design and front / rear

PS: the lowering glass is incomplete (missing 1.4 cm)

So windows totally down, it's not invisible.

Hello,

About the ford assembly, is it possible to contact Benny Raes for more details.

If this mod is better that old system, I prefer mount it.

Thank you very much.

I have several ideas, but it is not simple.
The problem is the original parts at the moment.
The plastic on top of the slider break easy and is not a part you can find easy.

I think I found another car where the plastic is used but I am not sure.
It is rear skoda doors (favorit and others)
Not electric but probably same springwinding and plastic hook.
I will order one to find out when I ever find time.
I think it is possible to use partts of it and meke it elektic with motors from sets where you can make handwinder electric. (it is all a gues yet)

Why not, but you will keep the slow system's speed.

Why do not you try to find spares from Renault 9/11?
I bought a pair of power windows from a Renault 9 in very good condition, they only need some cleaning. And you would have spare electric motors too. I think the plastic parts are the same and they have a metal plate as a reinforcement.

Renault 9-11 difficult to find and most of the time also very tired motors and mechanic.

@ Mathieu.
Slow?
If you make electric new thicker wires and new motor it will run like this.
