I am having problems with the door lock mechanism on the rhs. It opens no problem from the inside but not from the outside and unless you press down the lock button when closing it, the "latch" mechanism doesn't work and the door doesn't stay closed.  Not a good idea if you are going round a corner Shocked

Is there an easy solution?  If I need a new door latch will a Bagheera one fit?

If your in need of a new door latch, I think there is a guy on Ebay selling a few bits that look to include a couple of door latches, he is Germany tho, BUT i'm after a door handle, if you want we could go halves on the parts and the cost?

Hello boys, yes it's the same as on Peugeot 505 and there is one screw under the coloured movable piece. And it is the same as you use when opening the boot  Wink
But ussually the problem is not in handle but in the lock mechanism  Wink

Explain what? Do you mean "the problem with lock mechanism"? On my old silver 2,2 Murena, the lock mechanism was rusty and it was very hard to open the door - you had to press the door by your knee before opening from outside. And when you did opened it, the lock mechanism stays "open" so after closing the door, it didn't lock itself. After complete cleaning and greasing it was working fine.

I took the door mechanism to pieces on my car and after a good clean and lube to works perfectly. It can be tricky getting it all back together so allow lots of time. I ended up doing in the dark with a torch... Not ideal..

Try loosing the bolts that hold the lock in place a little.
If the lock works ok, you mis the washers that are between the lock an the door.

after removing the door mechanism, the one that holds the door locked, and cleaned it and used 5-56 (oil) on every part it works great. Smiley
the booring thing is that the screw that holds the handle is just inserted in the plastic that will prevent it from rotating, yeah right frenchmen... it just spinns with the nut so no luck getting it loose...will try to crack the nut in the future

on the other hand.. the other doorhandle is now broken Angry. but now I know how to fix it. Roll Eyes

Hello,

which handle fits and which does not?
I would like to change them on my car...
By the way... were they painted originally or not?
