Hi Guys.
I'm Barry from New Zealand and have a 2.2 Murena. Probably the only one down under.
I'm a bit in the dark down here while you guys are in the light.     ie. enlightened Matra owners.
Could someone please confirm that I have these numbers correct.

Head bolt tension                  90nm
Main Bearing bolt tension       110nm
Conrod bolt tension                65nm
Inlet valve clearance              0.2mm   cold
Exhaust valve clearance         0.3mm   cold
Thanks Barry

Hi,
welcome to the forum. Unique country, unique car...  Cheesy
You can find some answer in this topic:

http://www.matrasport.dk/forum/index.php/topic,1015.0.html

Unfortunately I do not have a manual so I cannot verify the others...

p.s.: There is an Australian member in the forum so now we know two Murenas down under...

I know of 2 Murenas in Sydney and one in Melbourne.  There may be more!  Welcome to the group.  Where are you in NZ?

Hi Barry. Welcome to the forum.
I thought this page might have had the torque numbers, but it should also be of interest to you if you have to mount the head.

Hi Ron
I'm in Long Bay Auckland
We have friends who live on the Panmure Basin who we plan to visit again at some stage.  I'll contact you before we go there next time.

We live in central Sydney although the car is an hour North.  Next year is the one for getting it on the road as it will be 30 years old and legally drivable as a LHD car in NSW.
regards

Hello Barry,

Great to hear of a Murena in New Zealand. Brilliant!

Your valve clearances are correct.

Here is a well used scanned compilatation of 2.2 engine fastener torques I was given which should be of help.
